The new Amada UK Technical Centre is conveniently located at a purpose built facility in Kidderminster - Worcestershire, strategically positioned within easy reach of the midlands motorway network. The facility was extensively refurbished for 2014 to offer an improved visitor experience whilst incorporating the very latest technology and environmental efficiencies.
Amada UK Ltd was established over 40 years ago and with the philosophy of “growing together with our customers” now provides the largest service and sales support network within the UK sheet metal industry.
The purpose built Machine Tool Plaza opened in Kidderminster in 1986 to showcase “cutting-edge” technology in laser, punching, pressbrake and automation solutions combined with the latest innovations in tooling and CADCAM software.
Nearly 30 years on the Machine Tool Plaza has been completely refurbished to provide our customers with a state-of-the-art Interactive Technical Centre that houses Amada’s latest technical innovations in sheet metal solutions. As with all Amada’s solutions, the new facility incorporates the very latest in ECO-friendly environmental control systems including sustainable technology for lighting and heating which result in a minimal carbon footprint.
To meet the tough challenges in today’s sheet metal market, the belief at Amada is that every visit to the Technical Centre should be much more than a machine demonstration. Based on the “Engineering Amada Philosophy”, The dedicated team of manufacturing engineers in the centre utilise the latest integrated cutting edge technologies for software, laser cutting, punching, forming and welding to provide every customer with the right engineering solution for their needs. The extensive 2 storey customer area has been developed to provide a unique combination of customer focused consultations, demonstrations and engineering knowledge transfer. Amada’s most important asset is it’s highly skilled and experienced engineers, who are on hand to give advice or solutions to customers, whatever their manufacturing need.
